Activin-Binding Protein

A protein that binds and neutralizes activin and myostatin — negative regulators of muscle growth. Follistatin is the primary example, acting as a natural brake-release on muscle development. Studied for muscle wasting conditions, though clinical translation of exogenous follistatin supplementation remains limited.
