GLP-1 Receptor Agonist

A class of drugs that mimic the incretin hormone GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1), activating its receptor to reduce appetite, slow gastric emptying, enhance insulin secretion, and promote weight loss. The most commercially significant peptide drug class, including semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) and liraglutide (Saxenda).
